Lucia Revollo receives Nebraska Young Artist Award
Congratulations to Lucia Revollo, daughter of our own Kate Revollo, for receiving UNL’s Nebraska Young Artist Award in Dance! She is one of 69 juniors (and the only South High School student) to be selected for this honor.
“Having arts as a part of my life helps me express my creativity and emotion,” Lucia said. “It’s just as important to me as my classwork and activities that help me grow, learn and thrive. I’ve grown up dancing at Shannon Barnhart Dance Studio, which is where my love for the arts began; I’ve been inspired to explore it more in other areas of my life.”
Lucia, ranked in the top 10 of 728 students, is very involved. Some of her activities include studio dance competition team, dance assistant, Omaha South Luvabulls dance team, Interpreters Cohort, College Possible, Grassroots Leadership Development Program, Young Nebraskans in Action and 2022 France student trip co-leader. She’s also studying her fourth language, Korean.
