DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGIST POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for the successful development, implementation and management of all digital strategies for E Creative and our clients. This role will focus on how brands are communicated and experienced through digital interactions, and how those interactions expand public awareness of our clients and their work that they do.
The right candidate will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of online strategies, deliver effective digital marketing recommendations to achieve the clients’ strategic brand and organizational objectives and work with our internal team to achieve successful results.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns for E Creative and our clients leveraging SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media and programmatic advertising campaigns
- Create and implements campaign strategies and generates summary reports to assess and measure success against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Stay up to date on latest digital trends and educate E Creative staff
- Conduct competitive analysis and industry trends to drive E Creative and client digital strategy
- Strategize, implement and maintain a regular social media presence for E Creative and our clients
- Craft and implement strategic weekly, monthly and/or quarterly content calendars
- Apply PPC and other digital marketing tactics like remarketing and targeted campaigns
- Oversee email marketing and marketing automation platforms, strategies and analytics
- Collaborate to create and implement website strategies and optimize user experiences
- Develop and maintain an understanding of each client including brand, brand voice, target audiences, key messages and industry/area of expertise
- Provide thought leadership, insight and perspective for proactive and informed implementation
- Schedule and participate in client meetings/conference calls and prepare client-facing documents as needed
- Document discussions during meetings and calls
- Coordinate and strategize with collaborators and vendor partners
- Proofread content for accuracy and alignment
- Manage and evaluate project timelines, budgets and reports and provide status updates to client as needed
- Maintain organized digital filing system for clients and client projects
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, digital marketing, marketing, advertising or a related field required
- Prior public, nonprofit or lived-experience from a diverse community is beneficial
- Five years working in a similar agency client-facing role required
- High competency levels in computer/software skills needed to perform job responsibilities, such as:
- Microsoft Office required
- Adobe/Adobe Creative Cloud highly preferred
- Loomly or similar social media scheduling tool required
- Harvest or similar timekeeping and accounting system preferred
- Basecamp or similar project management system highly preferred
- Knowledge of key social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn)
- Expertise in email marketing platforms such as MailChimp and Constant Contact, list segmentation and A/B testing
- Experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress
- Strong understanding of digital production and design
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task several projects at one time in a fast-paced agency
- Ability to communicate effectively with solid written and verbal skills
- Build rapport and maintain client relationships with internal and external clients

SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Requires flexibility in working extra hours or outside normal business hours as needed to meet the client deadlines
- Position may begin part-time and increase into a full-time role based on business needs
- On-site work with ability to work remotely occasionally as required (ex: inclement weather)
- Must be fully vaccinated
